THE PROCESS

Hello

First things first, I want to know about you, your wedding and what you're dreaming of! Get in touch by the contact form, email or instagram and we will book in call. You may have a really clear vision, or be a bit stuck, either way I'll help to bring ideas together to realise your dream wedding look and begin the design process.

Step 2: Fabrics & Sketching — bridal design process

Fabrics & Sketching

Once we have decided the design direction, I'll go away and start sketching designs based around our discussions. If your design has a draped element I may also create some fabric drapes on the mannequin to bring the silhouette to life. I will source fabrics which naturally compliment the designs - a detailed jacquard, buttery silk or delicate organza - nothing elevates a dress like the perfect fabric.

Design Consultation

Next comes the exciting part. We'll meet at my Bristol studio for a design consultation, where I will present the sketches, drapes, and fabrics. From there we will refine the details together - the design process is fluid and shaped by your vision. We can explore different elements until the design feels exactly right.

Step 4: Creation — bridal design process

Creation

This is where the magic happens. I'll pattern cut your design and create a toile (a practice version in calico) so we can perfect the fit before cutting into your chosen fabric. You'll have fittings throughout the process so you can see your dress evolve and we can make both design and fit adjustments along the way.

Step 5: Final Fitting — bridal design process

Final Fitting

The teary bit! Bring a loved one with you to the studio, to share in the special moment of putting on your final dress for the first time. We'll fine tune and make any final tweaks, to ensure the dress fits you exactly. I'll make sure everything is amended and pressed to perfection, then your dress is yours to take home and cherish forever.
